Christopher Meyers, PhD, is Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Kegley Institute of Ethics, CSU Bakersfield. He is also the adjunct ethics faculty at Kern Medical Center, the hospital ethicist for San Joaquin Community Hospital, and Associate Editor for Journal of Mass Media Ethics. He received his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Tennessee, where he also had a graduate minor in qualitative medical sociology and an academic certificate in Bioethics. He is the author of two books, with a third in progress, and some three dozen scholarly articles. Hobbies include wandering the Eastern Sierra mountains, woodworking, and standing on the bank of a trout stream, frustratingly watching trout laugh at him as his fly drifts over their head.
